Sam Fleming, Executive Director of 100 Gardens, talks about his SEED20 experience. Since he only has three minutes to tell his story, we’ve given him three questions to share his reflections!
A SEED20 Highlight: The best part of this experience has been the commitment of my coaches and student ambassador. They are thorough and have helped me guide the vision for the pitch.
Advice on Practicing a 3 Minute Pitch: I started the pitch by writing all the talking points and ideas on a large white board. I then connected talking points and formed a sequence that would tell the story. After the first pitch, I used the comment cards and coach remarks to help figure out what points were more worthy than others. I’ll keep repeating this until the entire 3 minute pitch is 100% substance!
An Unexpected Benefit of SEED20: SEED20 has been more than I expected. I have been a part of accelerator and pitch programs and the attention paid to the SEED20 participants is far more than I expected. I can’t thank Social Venture Partners enough for this opportunity!
