Strengthening SEED20 Alumni Boards
SVP Charlotte recently hosted a three-hour highly interactive board training workshop for nine SEED20 alumni organizations. Topics covered included board essentials like recruitment, defining roles and skills, board development stages, and navigating challenging conversations. With nearly 20 nonprofit leaders and board members in attendance, participants collaborated in discussion groups to share best practices, ask insightful questions and expand their knowledge on maximizing their boards to increase their organization’s impact and sustainability. A huge thanks to SVP Partners Mark Weber and Cristy Travaglino for leading the workshop and to the Junior League of Charlotte for providing their incredible space!
