On September 12, Social Venture Partners and five SEED20 Alumni
were invited to present to the 2019 All Employee Leadership
Conference for Cardinal Innovations Healthcare.
The participants were selected from SEED20 Alumni who had
previously participated in SVP’s annual program to identify, highlight,
and connect the community to the region’s most promising social
entrepreneurs tackling pressing social challenges. Through this
program, nonprofit leaders compete to win cash awards by making
three-minute “pitches” to a panel of judges and a community
audience. Cardinal selected the nonprofits based on their connection to
Cardinal’s mission of bringing services and support to people with
mental and behavioral health needs.
Each of the five nonprofit participants gave their SEED20 “pitch” to the
Cardinal audience of 900, who then voted for the organization they
found most compelling. Congratulations to Hope Vibes for winning 1st
place and $10,000! Camp Blue Skies received $7,500, Philips Academy
won $5,000, and ZABs Place and Charlotte Rescue Mission each
received $1,500. All prize money was awarded from Cardinal’s
community investment fund.
This year, SEED20 OnStage is on March 31, 2020, and tickets will go on sale December 5, 2019.
