We asked Kelly Finley of Girls Rock Charlotte (Class of 2015) about her SEED20 experience. She had three minutes on stage to tell her story so we’ve given her three questions to share her reflections!
Advice to the SEED20 Class of 2018: Enjoy and take advantage of the experience. No one loses. Each organization has a lot to learn and gain from the experience. Everyone wins!
How SEED20 Shifted Your Mindset: I realized that those of us inspired to start nonprofits are kindred spirits. We have a lot in common and there is such inspiration, solace, and opportunity in that.
Advice on Practicing a 3 Minute Pitch: I practiced my pitch at every red light. I know I looked ridiculous to the person in the car beside me, but oh well! Gosh knows there is enough traffic in Charlotte to practice your pitch many times as you drive around town.
