The Relatives has a long history as the only shelter for youth in Mecklenburg County who have run away from home, are homeless, or whose safety is at risk. The On Ramp program serves those who age out of foster homes to prevent these youth from aging into homelessness, prison, or worse because they have not been equipped with the resources to survive on their own.
